Aims and Scope

The Journal of Vibration and Sound (JVS) aims to provide a medium for dissemination of innovative and consequential papers on mathematical and computational methods in theoretical as well as applied vibration and acoustics.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a blind peer reviewing procedure conducted by the editorial board.  The JVS devoted to the all fields of acoustics and vibration. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topic areas:

  • Architectural Acoustics
  • Bioengineering & Human Response
  • Condition Monitoring
  • Dynamics of Civil Structures
  • Engineering Acoustics
  • Identification of Mechanical Systems
  • Musical Acoustics
  • Noise pollution
  • Noise & Vibration Control
  • Physical Acoustics
  • Railway Noise and Vibration
  • Rotating Machinery
  • Shock and Vibration Testing
  • Signal Processing in Acoustics
  • Speech Communication
  • Structural Dynamics
  • Underwater Acoustics
  • Vehicle Dynamics
