In the Journal of Vibration and Sound (JVS), a new article is subject to an initial and general review by the editor and editorial board members upon receipt. Also, in the initial stages, the received article is reviewed with the reputable plagiarism review system Hamayab to ensure the originality of the article and the absence of plagiarism. If the article is acceptable, at least two referees related to the subject are assigned to it and the review process begins. The referees have about about twenty days to review the article and send the result to the editor. The referee's opinion is one of these four states. 1. Acceptable 2. Minor revision 3. General revision 4. Unacceptable.
In states 2 and 3, the necessary corrections are sent to the author so that after revision, he/she can send a new file to the JVS. In state 4, the author is also notified of the rejection of the article.
After the initial acceptance of the article, the article is publicly announced in the "Articles in Press" list, and the editing and layout stages are carried out simultaneously. There may also be editorial corrections during the editing stage, which will be sent to the author for correction if necessary. The paginated articles are assigned a volume and serial number and published.
The process of accepting and reviewing articles in the scientific journal of Vibration and Sound is fully illustrated in the diagram below:
